our pets HEADS ARE FALLIN' OFF

So… We painted our house Orange. Then… My vacuum blew up. Seriously, blew up! Smoke and all. Plus… Jace is teething. Oh and… The Man TV broke…aaaagain! Won’t even turn on. Needs something like a 250 dollar replacement lamp. And then… The hot water heater quit working. Third time since we bought the house! And as a bonus … The dishwasher died. Then… Me and a pair of scissors decided it would be a good idea to make it “The Summer of The Bangs”. It will instead be “The Summer of The Bobbypin”! And… We’re out of Diet Coke! But… With hopes of making a little extra money, and to try to turn the last couple of days into a “glass half full” situation I attempted to compose a sad country song with me as the star. But alas… I can’t think of anything that rhymes with Orange.

It sounds like you and I are on the same string of luck. A little different but there is a black cloud following close behind me. And I did the summer of bangs too. That's what happens when there's no money for a haircut. I'm pretty pathetic at the present time. Hopefully things will turn around. I'd really like to see this orange house though. At least you wouldn't have to worry about misplacing it. Have you seen the one in Mtn Home on the way to Boise, I think they moved the house from New Mexico or Arizona.

Well, I don't think you have to make up a country song...They already have one..."Poor, Poor Pitiful Me", by Terri Clark....HAHA... I am just kidding...really that sucks...But when you think about it....Arent you so excited to do dishes by hand in cold water watching a black screen on your man TV, soothing Jace with a little wiskey cause your out of the "good stuff" using masking tape to clean your floors and hide out while your bangs grow in your glowing orange house!!! Man the highlights of summer....I will be right up to bask in your good luck!!!

I'll tell you what is sounds like. It sounds like it's time for a vacay to Denver. (love the title of course).

It sounds like your May is going as good as ours. Bad things don't happen in three around here, more like a half dozen or so.
The air conditioning in our car went out, our cat died, our dishwasher blew up (literally smoke and all), we need to replace our tramp, and my kids had lots of cavities at their dentist appointment because they have soft teeth we can't do anything about, Brett and I both have major deadlines at work and we are so dang busy and stressed out. I am really banking on the fact that June is going to go better. I hope yours does too:)

Ugh! Wake you up when May ends, eh? A couple of years ago we replaced our dishwasher, and I am so, so happy with it. We got a
Whirlpool DU1055XTP and it is fantastic. I never rinse anything----even my caked on lasagne pans---and it all comes out sparkling. It has a big basket that can go on the door or in the main compartment, and a separate water sprayer for the top rack. Whatever you decide on, definately get one with a food disposer. It was kind of mid-range price-wise, and so, so worth it.

What the heck . . . No wonder I haven't heard from you . . . I think the first thing I would do is go to the store and get some more DIET COKE!!!

Ha!!! that made me laugh. Maybe "one man's sorrows is another man's joy?" I think what really did it for me was the reminder of all the fun (and appropriate) times I wanted to shout "Our Pet's Heads are Falling Off!"

Kim, I think you have overlooked the benefits of the orange house.

You would never really have to give detailed directions to anyone. Just say its the orange house...

You could probably get away with doing any weird thing you wanted to do...People would just say, well she did paint her house orange.

The kids probably think its awesome and you get fun mom points.

You could have all kind of great themed parties with the house as the backdrop. I bet you could even host the Aberdeen Prom or something! I hope things start looking up!

This is most definitely a "Remember when" week. At some point, not so much right now, you will be able to say "Remember when we painted the house orange, the vacuum blew up, the tv broke, hot water heater quit, dishwasher died, Jace was teething, I cut my bangs, AND we were out of d.c.!" and you will have a good laugh about it!
