Awesome.

I can't believe I just posted that picture.  Awesome.
I got pulled over by a cop last week.  Speeding in a school zone.  In my defense it was barely a school zone.  Not school zone, sign, school zone, cop, lights, pulled over, ticket.  BAM!  $150.00 kind of ticket.  $151.50 to be precise.  Awesome.

<sidenote> Someday I’m going to write a blog post on my opinion of cocky cops.  Mr. School Zone Cop will be used as Exhibit A.  Arrogant Punk.  <end sidenote>

I got pulled over on my way to my dentist appointment.  A cavity, gah!  My dentist had a heck of a time numbing the proper spot in my mouth.  Four attempts – 7 to 9 shots of Novocain later {I truthfully lost count} – they filled the cavity.  Over the weekend I finally got feeling back in my left ear.  Awesome.

And then this morning I checked our bank account online.  Checking account – zero balance.  Overdraft account – maxed out.  Every.single.penny – gone.  Spent by somebody other than us.  Apparently somebody borrowed Spencer’s debit card number and bought a good portion of the Apple Online Store.  So not even kidding right now you guys.  We’ve financed some thief’s shopping spree.  Awesome.

All the purchases were made Friday evening and Monday is a holiday which means nothing can be done until Tuesday.  Awesome.

And even then it takes 10-15 business days for everything to be reviewed which means 10-15 business days where we have zero access to our money if the bank decides to return our money.  Awesome.

Friday was pay day.  So our pay check had just barely been credited to our bank accounts.  I mentioned the jerk spent ALL our money in our main checking account, right.  Like our whole entire paycheck + the balance that was already in our account + our overdraft account.  Awesome.

Including the $151.50 I need to pay my lame ticket.  Awesome.

I think I’m going to spend tomorrow at my dentist’s office and this time I’m opting for four times the regular amount of laughing gas.  And then I’m going to pay him with Spencer’s defunct debit card.  It’s going to be AWESOME!

What a bummer weekend especially after the last post of exciting news and letting the party begin. Not quite the party you had in mind I'm sure! How can a person do that! Horrible. Try to enjoy your Memorial Day and good luck figuring all that out!

Oh my goodness. I'm so sorry you are going through all that. They say things happen in threes, hopefully you won't have any more surprises.

Oh dear, Kim. This is such terrible news. Maybe what your family needs is a cake. It won't put all the money back in your bank account but it will taste good.

That completely 100% sucks rocks!!! I am so sorry! How did they get hold of his debit number?

Kimmie---I know you are probably still doped up on the laughing gas but I am pretty sure it is called a debit card not a debt card....but then maybe in your case it is a debt card.....and the word I think was supposed to be precise not precious....but hey, precious works too! Now if I wasn't your sister I wouldn't correct you (especially on this particular weekend)....but since I am your sister I will tease ya all I want! The end.

Sarah- We don't know. Spencer still had his debt (haha jami) card in his wallet. We are assuming an online purchase we made.

oh my heck!!!! I just can't believe all that you are going through the more I kept reading I just couldn't believe how much worse it kept getting. I am so sorry.... I hope your bank can help you out... we had that happen a few years ago and they let us use the money that should have been in our account with some temporary loan type thing until it was all straightened out.

I love Marjorie Hinckley's advice: "If you can laugh at it, you can live with it!" And I love your post title AWESOME :) I hope someday soon you can look back on all this and LAUGH ((HUGS))

Right Jami, because I'm the one that's the star of the bucket of carrots and water story. Oh wait, no I'm not. YOU are.

Lacy- I love the way you think and I LOVE that quote. Adding it to my quote book right...now.

wait...you got a speeding ticket on the way to the dentist? That's a slap in the face, isn't it? lol. It would have at least been a little less painful if you were on the way somewhere fun. Poor thing. You had a crappy week for sure. hope this week is better, you soooo deserve it.
