The Post about Pickles

Ya'know where I like to eat? Quiznos. I love me some Quiznos.

I don't especially love their sandwiches.  But you guys! The condiment bar. Oh, the condiment bar. It makes me so happy. All the pickles and yellow peppers my little heart (err..um…stomach) can handle. I pile them as high as my sandwich allows, then fill two little black cuppy things (why yes…that is their official given name) to eat on the side.

I love pickles. Any pickles really. I'm not picky. But I especially love Quiznos pickles. And Subways pickles. {Subway actually has the better pickle but, quite frankly, Subway can be a little PICKLE GREEDY! I think they have a pickle per customer cap, and I really irritate the "Sandwich Artist" when I try to push the pickle limit.}

Do you want to know who else loves pickles?

My sister-in-law, Sarah.

{FYI: She loves lemons too. But this is "The Post about Pickles" so I'll stick to pickles. I know! my bloggy material. You can't find this kind of blog content anywhere else!}

Sarah used to work at Subway. She would order an extra jar of Subway pickles for her to bring home. One of the job perks, I guess. God bless Subway!

Sarah, today I am thinking of you. And wishing I were at your house with a Subway jar of pickles, a Dr. Pepper for you, and a Diet Coke for me. We would sit on the floor with two forks, eating pickles straight from the jar, and playing Dr. Mario until our heads hurt.

I love you!
P.S.
Do you love pickles? What kind of pickles are your favorite?
No seriously, I want to know!
A little impromptu pickle survey for a curious mind.

I like pickles too. Sweet pickles are definitely the best with dill right behind. I don't mind me a good relish either. And as a previous Sandwich Artist, the cap is three for a six inch sub! That is it.

As I was reading this post I kept thinking, "I should go down to Subway and see if they would sell me a bag of pickles." I love love love Subway pickles. And they are stingy with them.

I love you Kim! You are the best! And now that you mentioned it we will have to buy a bag of Subway pickles sometime, and stock up on Caffeine, and play us some DR. Mario until we go blind. It's a date...someday!

I (ANNA) LOVE pickles. Mike hates pickles. I too am not that picky as long as they have a great crunch I'm in heaven.

Just to pose another question. I am a firm believer that if you like pickles you also like mustered and the same if you don't. Is this true all you pickle fans? PS Mike also hates mustered.

I like relish too, Emily. But mainly just on hotdogs. Come to think of it, that's really all you eat relish on. Isn't it?

Sarah, I was unaware that Subway pickles came in a bag. I was picturing an enourmous pickle jar. Oh and, dates on. You know...someday! Good luck tomorrow.

Gag Anna. I HATE mustard. And ketchup too. What about the rest of you'll? If you like pickles do you like mustard?

Oh and Jami...that's why you were fired? I always wondered what happened. :)

And good crap, a ton of you guys worked at Subway. You, Emily, Sarah...and didn't Jenni too?

I was actually a manager at Subway...look how cool I am!

I like mustard okay in small amounts and only on hot dogs and ham sandwiches. Brett HATES pickles and likes mustard. I am thinking Anna's theory is not very sound :)

I DO love pickles! And lemons. Therefore, I believe Sarah and I should be friends. My mom cans a mean pickle. And there are also some pickles that I buy from a local dude call Tru. They are delicious. I think I'll go have one.

I did work at Subway! So did Karalynn and Jessyka!
I think pickles are wonderful but only if they are dill. I love the little kosher dill pickles that crunch. I will pass on sweet pickles, relish, and mustard.

I LOVE pickles of almost any size, shap, or texture. Notice I said almost... I HATE sweet pickles (you know like the bread and butter pickles) and relish. Yuck! I also LOVE cucumbers. Are there any pickle lovers out there that don't like cucumbers?

Yummy!! All this talk about pickles; I am going to the fridge right now because I too love them!!! Then I am going to have a cucumber in vinegar!!Thanks Kim for making my tastes buds go WILD!!

Jesse- I like cucumbers too. But if given the option I would take a pickle over a cucumber 100% of the time.

I love relish on a turkey sandwich. It is easy to spread and you don't have to dry off the dill, but still get the tasty flavor. I like pickles, but not like my husband. He has been eating a vlassic a day lately. Mustard, ketchup, I love them all.

Pickles may not be a favorite of mine but I do enjoy them on occasion. But man do I remember you, subway, and the extra pickles on your cold cut trio.

I too am addicted to Subway pickles (in fact, I just got a Rotisserie Style Chicken sandwich with hot sauce and pickles on it today). I always ask for extra, plus a cup on the side, but I've never asked about buying a whole container of them.

This one Subway, when I ask for extra pickles kinda (according to others) "goes overboard", giving me a whole 21 ounce cup, or soup bowl full of them. That's fine by me, I'll eat every last one. Despite all that, my doctor STILL tells me my sodium is too low. Go figure.
