- My family went to the Twin Falls Temple Open House. I’m not sure why my mom, sisters and I thought that taking the entire family to the temple would be a peaceful, spiritual experience. It turns out that little girls begging to go swimming in the baptismal font, trying to jump on the oh so beautiful and white furniture, and screaming through an entire video because it doesn’t involve bright colors and rhyming words is…well…less than spiritual. After we got out of the temple we had had enough of the children wrestling and decided to eat somewhere where we could have a little peace, quiet and adult conversation. Because we have class and style we ended up in the play land at Artic Circle.
- Last Friday we made our way to Payson, UT to visit with Spence’s family. When we made plans to visit nobody informed us that it was highly probable that this could be our last trip to Payson EVER. It turns out there was a forest fire about 5 miles from Spence’s parents house that day that burned about 750 acres. I think it is 100% contained now and my in-laws house is still standing. While in Payson we got to see Spence’s little sister compete in her swim meet, visit with Anna, Mike and Lillie before they headed off to D.C. for school, visit Gretta and her girls since we missed them last time they came down from Albuquerque, and give my mother-in-law well wishes since she just got out of surgery.
- That night we stayed in SLC. The Holiday Inn boasted that it had a heated pool for their customer’s enjoyment. They forgot to add that it was heated to a mere 17 degrees.
- On Saturday we went to the B. Family Reunion. It was the first family reunion since my Grandma B. passed away so it was attended with mixed feelings. I’m pretty sure Grandma was looking down from heaven and smiling.
- Especially when she saw the hat that my Aunt Jillene gave to my Dad. It says "If Dolly Parton was Farming she would be FLAT BUSTED TOO"
- Speaking of the B. family. It’s my Grandpa B’s birthday today. Happy Birthday Grandpa! WE LOVE YOU!!
- That night we went to Jessica’s house and played card games and the Wii. And by that I mean that the girls played card games until about 1:30 in the morning while we patiently waited for our turn on the Wii. Needless to say, our turn never happened.
- We all stayed the night at Jess and Brad’s that night. I wish I were kidding when I say that their was an air mattress on every square inch of her house including one on the kitchen floor, but I’m not. Like I said early, WE HAVE STYLE AND CLASS! Nothing like moving the kitchen chairs outside on the patio so you have enough room to blow up the air mattress for a little R&R. Classy, definitely classy!
- On Sunday we went to my sis-in-laws for a visit. Sarah and Brett whipped together some Holy Amazin’ Dutch Oven Dinner right on their back porch. It was so good that I am going to invest in my very own dutch oven chimney thing-a-ma jiggy!! When Sarah apologized for the “fatting” dinner I looked at her like LADY, YOU NEED TO BACK OFF WITH YOUR CRAZY. I don’t care how many cubes of butter or how much bacon fat you put in that dutch oven of yours anything that good is worth 40 or 8000 extra calories.
- Did I mention that I only have seven more weeks?

Happenings!
Okay…so I am the first to admit that I am a BIG FAT BLOG SLACKER! I have been busy standing in front of the open freezer and taking naps with my feet on the air conditioning vents to try to keep my pregnant little self comfortable. Seven more weeks, baby! Seven more weeks! Here is an update of a few things that have been going on.
